History & Structure
In 1995 Al-Dawliyeh for Hotels and Malls PLC (MALL) was established as an affiliate of AIHO to develop hotel properties managed under the Sheraton brand. In 1996 MALL purchased a strategic land in west Amman on the fifth circle with the intent of developing the first Sheraton Hotel in the country. After elaborate designs and planning, construction of the hotel commenced in 1996. In 2001 the hotel was up and running and was the first Sheraton and Starwood Group Hotel in Jordan.
MALL is a publicly listed company, with a paid-up capital of JD 43 million and shareholders’ equity of JD 57 million as of the end of 2017.

As an affiliate of AIHO, MALL shares their corporate policy as a “dynamic player in Jordan’s tourism sector and hospitality industry, contributing vast resources both specifically to this industry and to the country’s overall economy. This contribution comes in many ways, from training and employing youth with the hope of a fruitful career path, to the facilitation of the inflow of foreign exchange, which helps to offset the balance of payments for the country.”

AIHO sits on the board of Wings of Hope Society (WOHS), a non-profit organization that aims is to improve and elevate the standard of living in Jordan’s many communities by providing Hope to youth through different initiatives, spanning the areas of: Athletics, Education, Health, Environment, The Arts, and Road Safety.
AIHO commits a fixed percentage of its profits every year to the fund of WOHS.
